Signed

Whew!  So much garage moving this past week and weekend to prepare for closing on Tuesday.  We signed papers this morning, then drove over for our final load.  We're tired but relieved to be finished.  Next step is organizing and getting rid of extras, but the pressure is off.

It's fun to watch the yard come to life.  The Korean Spice Viburnum smells lovely.  The serviceberry trees out front are covered in pretty white blossoms too.

WE'RE PENDING!!!

Three offers came in today for the old house. We've accepted one and have a signed agreement with the 2nd best offer as a backup! Our agent did a fabulous job. All afternoon we watched the price creep higher and higher over the list price. The buyer has waived most contingencies so it should be smooth sailing, however we won't be in full celebration mode until it's a done deal. But Evan made brownies and Viv made a cake, so we're set for celebratory desserts. 🤣 Set to close April 26th with buyer #1 all goes well! The camellia blooming was a bonus.

Stair Railing...Finally

Stair railing! They have a few things to wrap up tomorrow but it's mostly installed. I'm so glad we rejected the first railing and waited for what we wanted.

The trampoline is moved. The couch mismatched ends are on their way back. Plumbing final inspection passed today. Exterior paint wrap up starts tomorrow. Asphalt happens Friday. Packing, purging, hauling...it's hectic around here. The builder said he's never had homeowners move so quickly. I reminded him I'm a "get stuff done" type person. 🙂

At Last

We dropped off the folding table in the laundry room.  We designed the entire room around this table and have had it tucked away for years waiting for this day to come.  So yay!

Landscaping Day Two

Another busy one!  Accent rocks were delivered but not placed yet.  They are laying irrigation lines, installing sprinkler heads, and running low voltage wire out to the different areas of the yard.  Bed shapes are in.  Soil amendment is happening.  The fire pit has been brought down.  The big slope out back has been mulched.  They got a ton done today.

On the inside, cabinet pulls are being installed.  They have the kitchen pulls staged so I'm hoping they go on tomorrow.  Pantry cabinet shelves are finished.  Just some touch up paint needed but I'll wait till the end and do them all at once.  On to cabinet two next.

And in absolute cosmic timing, we were notified we're now eligible for Starlink internet service.  We've been struggling to get internet for months from CenturyLink.  And even once we get it, the connection is awful.  We've been on the waitlist for Starlink and it looks like it's finally happening.  I hope we can bypass CenturyLink altogether.

Just Us

I think today was the calm before the storm next week.  Nothing new except we fixed the ladder rollers and did some shed platform prep.  This weekend is shed building, moving the pile of leftover lumber so the landscapers have access, and pantry cabinet progress.  My very sweet hubby volunteered to help me tonight.  ❤

Bookworm's Delight

Bonus post for the night owls: library ladder!  We need to make some adjustments and get replacement hardware for the wheels (the screws they sent aren't very tough).  But the hard part is done.  This book loving gal is happy.

Best Truck Ride Ever

What a day!  I reached out to a landscape supply company to see if they'd sell me the supplies for our landscape lighting.  I'd prepared beforehand, but had a few questions.  The guy that helped me said because I was organized, mostly knew what I needed, and didn't take up much of his time, he'd give me contractor pricing!  This saved us over 1k on supplies!  All our lighting is ordered and should be ready to pick up in 2-3 weeks.

Since I was in Woodinville ordering the lighting, I swung by Flower World and drove home with a truck cab full of the scent of daphne and sweet box.  No way were they going in the bed of the truck.  The fragrance was incredible.  Costco bulbs came home with me too.

Then the builder texted that landscaping starts Monday!  And most of our cabinet doors were re-installed today.  Casement window crank handles are on too.  Huge day.  Jeremy and I have some library ladder goals for this evening too.

Weekend Elves

Some elves delivered the crate and installed the corner shelves in the laundry room.
The housecleaners worked today and unwrapped the island!  I've been dying to uncover it.  This slab is just gorgeous.

Sparkling Windows

The first cleaning is finished.  Having the plastic film off the windows makes a huge difference.  I'm eager to see it in the daylight.

No cabinet doors tomorrow.  Now they're saying early next week.  Again...not holding my breath.  Closets, landscape, our bath mirrors, new stair rail design, pantry cabinets...all on our plate at the moment and need action or decisions made.

Circus

We have a Cirque Du Soleil kind of vibe going on at the house.  This tenting should allow our concrete pour to happen tomorrow, rain or shine.  Along with concrete, the plumbers are expected, the housecleaners begin, and HVAC will be getting our heat pumps up and running.  It's going to be absolute madness tomorrow.

Today they finished the door handles and closet barn door install, and the rest of the bath mirrors went up.  It's so nice to have a door to the garage that closes.
