There was truss work today that's hard to see, but they were busy adding supports. More fascia is up on the second floor out back, and the bird blocking is staged for install upstairs.
They prepped the great room top plates for ceiling beams and have a makeshift scaffold setup...I think that means the ridge beam will be arriving soon.
Our shower was framed in today. We like how it turned out. Viv lost the vault in her ceiling, but we're getting used to the new ceiling plan. The kitchen beam layout was finalized today. We learned our great room fireplace has a 10-12 week lead time (normal would be 2-3 weeks). And we chose the type of wood for our front door. Lots of little planning things today. Hoping for more visual changes later this week.

Pockets for the exposed rafters in the Great Room are in.

Scaffolding is set up...just waiting for the monster ridge beam to arrive.

Our shower wall. There's a 2' gap along the top to let in light, and a pretty post on the end that will be stained and will stabilize that wall.

6" ledge running the full length of the new shower wall.

Bird blocking ready to go

Viv's room has such a nice shape. The ceiling won't be vaulted, but there's some benefits to keeping it flat. We're getting used to the idea.
